GENERAL INFORMATION

States we have filed and are waiting approval to launch umbrella program.
States we do not plan to offer our program in the near future.
State Exceptions
ALABAMA & NEVADA
Since countersignature is required, this site will be open only to resident agents of that state for insureds with mailing address within Alabama or Nevada.
Coverage
We provide an Umbrella policy form with a $0 S.I.R. and freely offer limits to $5,000,000 ($1,000,000 within Indiana).
We can provide limits of $6,000,000 - $10,000,000. If your applicant qualifies, you will be prompted to submit a $6MM - $10MM Special Acceptance Questionnaire. We may also request MVRs.
You will receive our acceptance or declination within 24 hours.
We do not offer $6,000,000 - $10,000,000 to applicants with the following:
- Automobile Major Moving Violations (click here for list)
- Drivers Under the age of 21 or over the age of 80
- Jet Skis, ATVs or unlicensed vehicles (golf carts may be acceptable)
- Business property or operations
- Business autos
- Residents of Indiana
- Boats 27 feet or greater - OR - 45 MPH or greater.
Excess Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist is available with a separate $1,000,000 limit.

Renewals
We will directly offer insured a renewal offer 30+ days in advance. Commission is 10%
- The offer will include options to increase limit up to $5,000,000 (except Indiana).
- You will be notified when offer is sent. Viewable Online
- If your client is eligible for $6,000,000 - $10,000,000 they will be instructed to contact the broker for further details. Broker will need to complete and submit $6MM - $10MM Special Acceptance Questionnaire
- You will be notified if offer not received.
- You will be able to view/print renewal policy online once offer/payment received by us.
- You will be paid commission after payment receipt in form of commission statement.
Applications
We rely on you to keep supplemental questionnaire, signatures and documentation in your files.
Primary Insurer
We accept only Admitted Insurers with A. M. Best's Rating of B+ (VII) or higher.
We are currently not accepting Lloyds of London.
FLORIDA
If the Primary Carrier is not Citizens -OR- A.M. Best rated B+ (VII) or higher, we only offer limits of $1,000,000 or $2,000,000.
NEW JERSEY
We will accept the following Primary Carriers with a limitation of a maximum $2,000,000 umbrella offer:
American Modern, Lantana, New Jersey Skylands, or Voyager.

PERSONAL UMBRELLA UNDERWRITING
Occupation
We do not contemplate writing target risk individuals.
Professional Entertainers-Actors, Actresses, Directors, Producers, Writers, TV/Radio Personalities. Or
Athletics-All Professional Athletes, Coaches, Managers & Owners, NCAA Division I Athletes or Coaches that regularly appear on television. Or
Public Officials-Elected/appointed officials to any state or federal office, Elected officials to cities, counties, courts Populations over 50,000. Or
Famous People-Top Executives of Fortune 500 companies, Persons appearing regularly in the media due to their wealth or profession.
If questionable, please call 1-800-564-1799 or 1-510-420-2820 to determine acceptability.
Losses
If any of the applicants have had four (4) or more losses or total losses over $25,000 within the past three years, you must submit for special authorization.
Personal Residences
Minimum underlying limit: $300,000 CPL
Dwellings
We include owner-occupied dwellings and rental dwellings insured by personal liability polices. We rate based upon dwelling units.
No rental units allowed for NY Policies.
Vacant Land
We include both urban and rural vacant land.
Our policy excludes loss from developing vacant land.
Farms
We will not write farms.
Personal Automobile Liability
Minimum underlying limit: $300,000 CSL ($325,000 in Texas) or $250/500/100
We rate and charge for each vehicle which are licensed for road use.
(Includes motorcycles, golf carts, mobile motor homes and classic cars)
Motor Vehicle Records
We do not require motor vehicle records unless the driver has had a major violation in the last 5 years, or has had liability loss(es) in excess of $25,000 in the last 3 years.
Driver Surcharge
We surcharge for drivers
- Under 21 years of age AND/OR
- With a major violation.
Major Violation
Major violations are:

We may include drivers with one (not more) major violation within the past five years. We will not write youthful drivers with a major violation.
- If a major violation has occurred, We will need a current copy of the MVR faxed to us @ 1-510-655-3076. We otherwise do not require MVR’S.
- Drivers with major violation within last five years must have minimum 500/500/100 or 500 CSL primary limits or higher.
Watercraft
Minimum underlying limit: $300,000 if Personal, $500,000 if Business.
Florida exception: $500,000 if Personal or Business.
Texas exception: $500,000 if Personal.
No Charge
We will include without charge if under 27 feet in overall length and either one of the following:
1. without motor
2. rented inboard or inboard/outdrive of 50 horsepower or less
3. owned of 25 horsepower or less,
4. owned or rented sailboats.
All other eligible watercraft are designated as follows:
Class A - Utility Boat
Maximum speed 45 MPH: Under 27 Feet. Full range of outboard, inboard/outboard or inboard.
Class B - Standard
Maximum speed 60 MPH: Under 42 feet. A more specialized class of boat with better than average performance.
Class D - Yacht/Cruiser, Sailboat, Houseboat
Maximum speed 45 MPH: 27 feet and over, but under 42 feet. The conventional higher valued segment of the non-trailerable boat/yacht market.
Special Acceptance.
We may be able to include watercraft longer than 41 feet. Submit primary declarations, endorsements and relevant description to determine acceptability and premium.
The following are not eligible:
Watercraft carrying passengers or cargo for a fee.
Recreational Vehicle & Jet-Ski
Minimum underlying limit: $300,000 if Personal, $500,000 if Business.
Florida exception: $500,000 if Personal or Business.
Texas exception: $500,000 if Personal.
Recreational vehicles are those not licensed for road use and typically include dune buggies, all terrain vehicles (ATV’s), minibikes, trail bikes and snowmobiles.
NOT ELIGIBLE:
Unlicensed recreational vehicles with a speed greater than 60 mph, or 3 wheeled ATV’s.
BUSINESS OWNER'S UMBRELLA UNDERWRITING
Due to our filing we are unable to offer Business Owners' Umbrella if the business premium for the first $1,000,000 exceeds $750. Website will advise if you exceed.
We have no limit to the premium for Personal Umbrella.
Business coverage currently not available in TX & NY.
Business Automobile Liability
Business Automobile Liability Minimum underlying limit:
$1,000,000 CSL or $1,000,000/1,000,000/500,000
To include business autos insured under a business automobile policy, the following must apply:

Frequently asked business automobile questions:
Q. The applicant is provided a vehicle by his business. Should we rate and schedule it?
A1. If the applicant is an partner/owner of a small firm with 4 or fewer private passenger type vehicles, then YES we can rate/schedule and cover all of those vehicles.
Please check the MVRs of all drivers for major moving violations.
When ordering the policy, put the name of the firm in the Additional Covered Persons section as follows; "ABC, Inc. as respects business automobile".
A2. If this is one part of a fleet and/or the applicant is not a partner/owner of the business, then the auto should NOT be rated and scheduled.
If the business auto is the applicants only regular automobile, we suggest the applicant contact the corporation and request applicant be named on a Drive other Car (DOC) endorsement.
If applicant is not confident with the limits and coverage provided by the firms business policies, then the applicant should not drive their vehicles.

Business Property or Operations
Minimum underlying limit: $1,000,000 CSL
Eligibility requirements for each class are listed below.
Operations must be specifically listed as an eligible class.
If questionable, Submit Application to determine acceptability.
Apartments, Condominiums, Flats, Dwellings
We write buildings with hazards that are not out of the ordinary.
Ineligible Risks are converted dwellings, non-profit housing, housing projects, institutional housing, housing authorities and buildings in excess of four (4) stories.
Commercial or Mercantile Premises rented to others (LRO)
We write buildings rented to others that do not present unusual exposures to tenants or to neighboring buildings.
Ineligible Occupancies
Manufacturing or other than incidental storage of paint or paint thinners or gasoline, oil, petroleum products or other chemicals or fireworks, arms, ammunition or hay, grain, feed, or fertilizer or wood, lumber, cabinets, furniture or tires or paper, rags or other scrap material Gas stations, auto repair shops, vehicle or boat storage, Theaters, schools, day care centers, churches or auditoriums, Bars, taverns or nightclubs
Vacant Land
We write urban (Maximum 750 frontage feet) and rural (Maximum 375 acres).
We exclude loss from developing.
Offices or Business Operations (Maximum 10,000 sq. ft. all locations)
We write offices that have incidental products liability, premises operations or off-premises exposure.
All Professional Liability is excluded

Only 10 or fewer operators per location. No repackaging of cosmetics. Nail shops are ineligible (incidental manicurist acceptable).
